She started her career within the Arlington Public School system as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom. In 2002, she began working at a homeless family shelter, and it was there she realized she wanted to pursue a career in mental health. In 2010, Kim graduated from Cambridge College with a Master of Ed all while raising her three amazing sons. She received her LMHC in 2012 and in 2015 became the Clinical Director at The Megan House working with young women who suffer from substance use disorder. In 2023 Kim returned to a career in the public school system as a School Adjustment Councilor.

In 2014, David was instrumental in the effort to have fire fighters carry Narcan in Lowell, which has helped save countless lives and slow down the death rate from opiate overdose. In 2015, he helped identify a federal grant opportunity that helped Lowell land nearly $2-million, money that was used to hire 12 new fire fighters and avoid fire station shutdowns that had plagued the city. In his nine years at AMD Dan managed AMD’s worldwide sales efforts which included a direct sales force and a global network of over 40 resale partners. Since joining AMD the company’s footprint expanded into 98 countries including several nationwide deployments. Under Dan’s guidance AMD saw increased penetration into the traditional clinical telemedicine markets as well as significant entry points into the emerging retail pharmacy,concierge, medical tourism, EMS, and skilled nursing markets. Locally, Steven serves on the Board of Governors of Lowell General Hospital/Circle Health where he was chairperson of the LGH TeamWalk for Cancer Care for several years.

She is a Commercial Lending Officer, SVP at Enterprise Bank where she has worked to serve the business community for over 20 years. Outside of her banking career, Sandra has served as a director on the Boards of several non-profit organizations including the YMCA of Lowell, Mill City Grows and the Lowell Portuguese Language School which she co-founded in 2015. Pamela is involved in several community organizations, boards and committees. As a corporator for the Lowell Boys & Girls Club she has co-chaired their Holiday Auction for two years and has served on the golf committee five years. Pamela is a past Board member of the Westford Business Association and past Chair of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce. She served three years as co-chair of SEGL part of the United Way, which raises money for local non-profit organizations so that children of Greater Lowell can enjoy a safe summer of fun, learning, and employment.

Encouraged by the Megan’s House Foundation, she returned to school and completed state requirements to become a licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor. She continued to grow in her career at Megan’s House and took on the role of Family Counselor, working with residents and their supports to rebuild trust and promote healthy communication.

A.J.’s role within Clark Insurance has him working directly with business owners throughout the Merrimack Valley to help mitigate/manage risk, specifically in the non-profit, construction, and property management industries. Prior to healthcare Pamela worked in the insurance industry as a licensed broker for Colonial Life and Accident. From there, she transitioned into Managed Care, joining a privately-owned company as the Director of Business Development. She loves yoga, golf, traveling and time laughing with family and friends. Growing up in the Lower Highlands of Lowell, Shaun understands the choices and challenges facing youth of today. Shaun was a member of the Lowell YMCA, Greater Lowell Boys and Girls Club, and an active member in area CYO.

Strathmore quickly established itself as an important new cultural resource—not just for Montgomery County, but for the entire Metro DC region. The Mansion was bustling with energy and many of Strathmore’s most enduring offerings—including intimate concerts in the Music Room, Afternoon Tea, visual arts exhibitions, and wedding venue—began during this time. In 1979, Montgomery County, Maryland acquired the Mansion and 11 acres of land from ASHA. The house was renamed Strathmore Hall, after the newly established nonprofit, and the Mansion with its surrounding grounds were developed as Montgomery County’s first center for the arts. It was used as a summer home until 1914 when it was remodeled by architect Charles Keene, and became the permanent abode for the Corby family. Mr. Corby died in 1926 after acquiring nearly 400 acres (1.6 km2) of surrounding land and maintaining a fully operational dairy farm and a private golf course. With the death of Mrs. Corby in 1941, the home was purchased by the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1943 and became known as St. Angela Hall, serving as a convent and school.

Located on the Bou Family Terrace, “Tetra Con Brio,” a monumental sculpture of cast bronze, steel, and polished concrete, stands 12 feet (3.7 m) tall and weighs 4,500 pounds. In 1977, the Sisters of the Holy Cross sold the mansion to the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) as a temporary headquarters. On June 21, 1983, after major restoration of the facility, Strathmore opened its doors to the public. Strathmore is a premier art institution of the region, hosting more than two dozen exhibitions a year.

Explore the story of Joseph and Rachel Moore, Black New Yorkers who made their home in Lower Manhattan’s tenements in the 1860s and 1870s. Joseph Moore moves from New Jersey to Manhattan in 1857, his wife Rachel from Kingston, New York in the same decade. They lived in a rear tenement in today’s SoHo neighborhood, in a building with both Irish and African American New Yorkers. By getting involved in the Junior Ambassador program you can help end the cycle of homelessness. We are in need of food, paper products, cleaning supplies, medicines, and gift cards.

Advocate, Educate, Empower Model

The Hope House offers person centered, trauma informed evidenced based treatment for women with substance use and mental health disorders. During their stay at The Hope House, residents participate in individual and group counseling and 12 Step programs. We offer treatment that transitions from inpatient to intensive outpatient to aftercare over a nine to twelve month period. Treatment includes family education, medication management, peer support services, assistance with transitional housing, and recovery-oriented social and recreational activities. Hope House’s Mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing safe refuge and supportive services that educate and empower those impacted by domestic violence. Hope House will advocate social change that protects and engenders a person’s right to live a life free of abuse.

For more than two decades, Loisann was employed by Upward Bound, a government program that helps poor and minority students pursue a college experience. She was a counselor to the teens who wanted to attend college, helping them identify loans, fill out applications, and proof their writing samples. Hope House is honored to bear the name of a compassionate, kind social worker who began her life in Fredericksburg. Pride Month is celebrated every June as a tribute to those who were involved in the Stonewall Riots. Pride Month isa month-long celebration that recognizes the LGBTQ+ community and their contributions to society.
